A few firsts...and silliness

When Weston eats table food, we have to keep a close eye on him because he likes to shovel ALL the food into his mouth and then of course, gags. So we have tried to remind him he needs to chew...by exaggerating the chew with our own mandibles. He often times mimics us. But last night took the cake...and Neil ended up going with it. Thought it was kind goofy. 

Also, while Weston was crawling up the stairs last evening with Neil right behind him, he turned to me down in the living room and I said, "Bye bye!" and waved at him.

He actually WAVED BACK! And said, "Buhbye!" And then I giggled with pride and excitement and he laughed right back. Then he waved and said "Buhbye!" Again. YAY.
Though he's said More and Up, I am going to count this as his FIRST word because it was clear and intentional and obvious. :)

We put up the Christmas tree last night. So this morning, we put him on the floor to see it. Here is his reaction. Have your speakers on.

And this morning, Neil went down to get something from the storage room. He was distracted by his own drums. Weston was upstairs but stopped dead and looked around to see where the loud noise was coming from...he had a sly grin on his face...I could tell he liked it. So I picked him up and took him downstairs to spy on Daddy. Of course, he wanted in on it. 

Yay! How is THAT for a short post???
